Our Summer tackle program begins in April and runs until August. The Divisions are based on your child’s year of birth. Please refer to the table below to see the ages and costs for each division.

Please note that if you intend to play or are interested in playing in an age group above your actual age you should contact both the head coach and the registrar prior to registering as there are restrictions based on both insurance coverage and the Football Canada White Book. There is a maximum allowed age difference of 3 years between players playing in a sanctioned league game.

Jr. Varsity: Jerry Phillip

Coach Philip is the head coach of the 2017 Junior Varsity team.  He has coached in the CJFL with the Burlington Braves; in the BMFA at all levels and is presently an Assistant Defensive coach with the 2016 Nelson Lords OFSAA – GHAC Bowl Varsity Champions. Coach Philip played University football at York and in the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos.

Varsity: Scott Boumeester

Coach Scott returns as Varsity Head Coach for the 2017 season in the newly formed OPFL. In addition to his nine years of coaching at the rep level, Scott also brings executive experience. Coach Scott has been on the board of the BMFA and General Manager of the CJFL Burlington Braves. Coach Scott’s experience includes, Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, and Linebacker Coach at the Pee Wee and Junior Varsity levels in the BMFA and the Hamilton Ironmen organizations.

Coach Scott was an outstanding fullback and middle linebacker at T.L. Kennedy High School in Mississauga and went on to play for the Sheridan College Bruins. In addition to football, Coach Scott has coached and refereed soccer at the most senior levels. He was also the head soccer coach in Ontario for the Special Olympics.

Coach Scott is a player’s coach. His coaching philosophy is teamwork, respect, player safety and conditioning, conditioning, conditioning. His engaging coaching methods garner the respect of players and parents alike, Coach Scott always puts the players’ interest first, however, he is always challenging his players to be their best and uphold the highest standards of team, fellow player and club.
